Scientific Volume Imaging is well-known for its Huygens Deconvolution Software. Brightfield images, combined with the Huygens deconvolution techniques have sofar been treated with special care as, despite its undeniable improvements in SNR and resolution, a true scientific foundation was lacking sofar.
That"s no longer the case as Dr. Marcel Oberlaender et al. from the MPI of Neurobiology in Martinsried now proved the validity of the Huygens deconvolution for brightfield data.
